- Free commodities data is available, but it only goes back a few months. If commodities are what you desire then play along. Also, something to toss in the 'honesty is the best policy' file, they admit that there is no guarantee for accuracy involved with their free service. How sweet.

- If history is what you desire, look no further than this here site. With charts and data that go back to 1959, you can do no wrong. Different prices will get you different software, but most of it is CD ROM oriented and the price is well worth the help it can get you. Look at the page for options and what not�you will be happy.

- This software is compatible with only certain kinds of other financial software, but it claims that it can save you money off of other services. Why? Because here, you only pay for what you need. A chart at their site can tell you how much it costs to get historical data on whatever kind of stock you're looking up. Plus it tells you exactly what kind of info is available. Not bad, and definitely worth a look.

- A top source for end of day quotes, as they have upwards of 20,000 available, this doesn't seem to be the best place for finding historical data that goes back too far. Recent history seems prevalent, but for older numbers, look on.

- Membership is necessary to play, but once inside you have access to a 10 year database of Foreign Exchange and commodity rates. If this is what you search for, behold your answers. Just remember to sign up first.
